Orders and shipping
All orders are prepared and shipped from our atelier in Sweden. Each piece is checked carefully before it leaves the bench, then packed by hand so it arrives ready to live with you.
We currently ship from Sweden to a selection of countries. The available destinations for your address are shown at checkout once you enter your shipping details. If your country does not appear, you are welcome to contact us and we will see what is possible.
Shipping time depends on your location and the shipping method chosen at checkout. Within Europe delivery is usually a matter of days, while deliveries outside Europe may take longer. Estimated delivery times are always shown during checkout.
Shipping cost is calculated at checkout based on your destination and order size. You will see the final amount before you confirm your order. When your cart reaches our free shipping threshold, a message will appear in the cart to let you know that shipping is included.
Once your order is shipped you will receive a confirmation email with tracking details. If you have not received a tracking link, reach out to us through the contact page and we will help you.
Products and craftsmanship
All pieces are made in our own atelier with a focus on quiet, patient craft. We work in small quantities rather than volume, so that every cut, stitch and edge receives the attention it deserves. You can explore the process in more detail on our Craft page.
Design starts on paper, not in software. Each pattern is refined by hand before we cut leather, mark stitch lines and sew using traditional saddle stitching with two needles and one thread. Edges are trimmed, sanded and finished by hand, and hardware is installed and tested one piece at a time.
We work with a focused selection of leathers from renowned tanneries in Europe. Each leather is chosen for its feel, character and the way it ages. You can discover them more closely on our Materials page.
Yes. Each piece is made by hand and leather is a natural material, small variations in grain, tone and stitching will occur. We see these not as imperfections, but as signs of a craft process where each object is truly individual.
Customisation and bespoke pieces
At the moment we do not offer monogramming as a standard option through the online store. If you are interested in a personal detail such as initials, you are welcome to contact us and we will let you know what is possible for the specific piece you have in mind.
We keep the main collection focused and considered. For small adjustments, such as a different strap length or interior detail, please reach out through our contact page and share how you would like to use the piece. We will review your request and advise case by case.
Our primary focus is the Atelier Sajrom collection. In some cases we may accept bespoke projects that align with our way of working, materials and pace. Bespoke work is always discussed individually and will involve a longer lead time and a different price structure.
Send us a message through the contact page with a short description of what you have in mind, how you plan to use the piece and any reference images. From there we can discuss possibilities, timelines and pricing before any work begins.
Care, repairs and longevity
Leather prefers a gentle rhythm. Use your piece regularly, avoid overfilling it and wipe it with a soft dry cloth when needed. For most leathers, occasional conditioning with a high quality neutral or coloured leather cream is enough to keep the surface nourished. Strong cleaners or stiff bristle brushes are not needed.
Light rain or a few drops of water are usually not a problem. Wipe off excess moisture with a soft cloth and allow the piece to dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat or sunlight while drying. Repeated or heavy exposure to water may mark the leather and is best avoided.
When not in use, store your piece in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. If possible, keep bags lightly filled so they maintain their shape and avoid pressing heavy objects on top of them. Leather, like any natural material, prefers to breathe rather than be sealed completely in plastic.
If something happens to your Atelier Sajrom piece, contact us with photos and a short description. We will review whether a repair or refurbishment is possible, and share options, timing and cost before you send anything to us. Our intention is always to help your piece live a long life rather than be replaced.
Returns, exchanges and warranty
We want you to feel at ease when ordering from us. If you change your mind, you can return unused items in their original condition within a set return period, counted from the day you receive your order. Full details, including current return period and conditions, are described in our Terms of service and related policies.
To start a return, contact us with your order number and the item you wish to send back. We will guide you through the next steps and share the correct return address. Please do not send any items back before you have received confirmation from us.
Responsibility for return shipping may vary depending on the reason for the return and your location. In your return confirmation we will clearly state whether you will receive a prepaid label or whether you arrange and pay for shipping yourself.
If you would like to exchange an item, the simplest way is often to return the original item according to our return policy and place a new order for the piece you prefer. In some cases we can arrange a direct exchange, depending on stock. Contact us and we will help you find the best solution.
We stand behind the craft and materials that leave our atelier. If you experience an issue that you believe is related to production or material quality, contact us with photos and your order details. We assess each case individually and will do our best to repair or replace the item where appropriate, in line with our Terms of service.
Payments, taxes and duties
We accept major debit and credit cards and a selection of local and digital payment options available through our secure checkout. The payment methods available in your country are shown on the payment step when you place your order.
Prices on the site are shown with applicable tax included for customers in the European Union. For customers outside the EU, local taxes and duties may be handled differently and can be applied by your local customs authorities. Any tax information specific to your order is shown at checkout.
If you order from outside the European Union, your order may be subject to import duties and local taxes once it reaches your country. These charges are set by your local customs authority, not by us. The courier will usually contact you directly for payment if any fees apply.
Our store is hosted on Shopify and uses their secure payment infrastructure. Payment details are encrypted during transfer and are never stored in plain text on our systems. You can read more about how data is handled in our Privacy policy.
Sustainability and ethics
We work with a small circle of tanneries in Europe known for their expertise and responsibility in leather making. We choose partners who honour traditional methods while meeting modern standards for quality and traceability.
Each material is chosen for how it feels in the hand, how it behaves in use and how it ages. Each leather bring a different character in terms of structure, grain and patina, allowing us to match the right leather to the purpose of each piece. Our Materials page and Stories section share more about the origin and qualities of each.
For us, sustainability starts with making fewer things and making them extraordinary well. We design with longevity in mind, work with durable natural materials and use traditional craft methods that can be repaired instead of discarded. By focusing on timeless pieces and patient production, we aim to create pieces that remain relevant and beautiful for many years.
Yes, whenever possible we prefer to repair rather than replace. If your piece needs attention after years of use, contact us with photos and we will discuss suitable options. Repair and refurbishment are part of how we honour the material, the craft and your decision to invest in a handmade piece.
